During the 42nd match of the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kings XI Punjab at Bengaluru, Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli was both delighted and furious after Umesh Yadav dismissed Kings XI Punjab captain Ravichandran Ashwin.
It all happened on the second ball of the last over when Ashwin’s attempt to hit the big shot saw him mis-timing the ball to Kohli at long-on. After taking the catch, Kohli was seen angrily gesturing towards Ashwin as he was walking back to the pavilion.

Coming in to bat at No. 7 in the last over, Ashwin had the near-impossible task of scoring 27 runs in six balls to guide his team to victory. While he did his best in hitting the first ball of the over for a six down the ground, he couldn’t manage to repeat the same on the following ball.
Apparently, it was Ashwin who gave Kohli a bit of send-off in the first innings of the match. In a counter to people criticizing Kohli for his gestures, users have uploaded a video of Ashwin’s reaction after Kohli was dismissed in the fourth over of RCB’s innings.

@imVkohli really disappointed to see this behaviour. What’s the difference between you and Sreeshanth (who was criticized for this kinda behaviour). Be “King” Kohli… Not this! pic.twitter.com/5CgGwCQPPy

Having registered their third consecutive IPL 2019 victory, Royal Challengers have kept their hopes alive of qualifying for the playoffs. Other than winning their remaining three matches, RCB will also have to take care of their Net Run Rate in a bid to qualify.
