Virender Sehwag sends a message to team India ahead of the fourth day
The third day of the first test match between India and South Africa was completely washed out, as the rain gods ensured that the players did not even get out on the field.
But since 23 wickets fell in the opening two days, a result is still very much on the cards, as both teams will feel that they have a chance at winning this test match.
Halfway through the second day though, Kohli and men must have imagined the worst, as the South African pace battery ripped through the Indian batting order.
India then had to turn to Hardik Pandya, as the hard hitting batsman staged a one-man counter attack and scored a gutsy 93.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar also played a determined knock, as the pair put on 99 vital runs to keep India in the hunt.

Fans and pundits alike were disappointed to see Pandya fall short of the three figure mark, as he certainly deserved one. But Pandya was not finished for the day, as he came in to bowl and picked up two crucial wickets for India.
The seamer got rid of both the South African openers, as Pandya’s all-round display single handedly kept India in the game.
Many former players were impressed by Pandya efforts, including Virender Sehwag. After sending a personal message to Pandya, he sent a motivational tweet to the rest of the Indian side ahead of the day’s play.
