Miffed defender Anil Karaer takes matters into his own hands after ballboy indulges in time wasting tactics
For Turkey based TFF 1 League side Adana Demirspor, the day went from bad to worse. Not only did the side end up losing their fixture against Keciorengucu 1-0 by also ended up seeing defender Anil Karaer being dished out a red card towards the culminating stages of the side’s fixture.
Anil Karaer Lashes Out At Ballboy After Time Wasting Tactics
Down by a goal and rummaging for the goal to restore parity and rescue a point from the affair, the last thing Demirspor needed was time to go against them. However, the home side’s ballboy had other plans on his minds as he refused to hand over the ball to Demirspor for a throw in.
Unfortunately for him, Demirspor defender, Anil Karaer didn’t take quite too kindly to the shenanigans. Clearly in no mood to be toyed around with by the boy, Anil Karaer ended up kicking the ball into the ballboy, a misconduct which ended up costing the defender his place in the tie.
Considered as a malicious act of vengeance, Anil Karaer was brandished a red card by the referee in the 90+6th minute of the outing. Its not set to be the only punishment meted out to him for the misdemeanour though with the league’s governing council set to consider further action for the defender.
While this was the first time Anil has engaged in such an act, the defender does have a history of losing his head on the pitch. Not the most level headed of players, his innate nature of losing his temper way too early has seen him being the recipient of a bevy of red cards in his time out in Turkey.
The 1-0 defeat for Demirspor on the day meanwhile halted their four match unbeaten spree to refrain the side from moving into the echelons of the points tally. The club is currently fourth in the league, five points bereft of top spot.
