Anthony Davis’s impending trade has raised many eyebrows in the NBA world, as the Pelicans man is yet to give a fair idea of what his future would look like despite active interest from Lakers and Celtics.

But the Celtics wave has taken a back seat in the last few days, with Lakers emerging as the top destination for Davis from next season.

LeBron has been in the news for publicly saying that he would love to play with Davis, a statement that was seen by the Pelicans as ‘tampering’. LeBron then later clarified that he was merely expressing interest to play with Davis, something that he would have done for any top player from the league.

Anthony Davis and LeBron James then later reportedly went for a dinner together, with Davis later confirming that he would chose ‘legacy over money’ whilst deciding his future in the NBA.

Now, with speculation rife that Davis would in fact be joining the Lakers next season, a video has surfaced, with Davis telling the world that his favourite player while growing up was LeBron.

With Davis now confirming that he used to look up to LeBron wile growing up and all the reports pointing towards a Davis move to the Lakers; I believe it is safe to say that the move should go through in all probability.

In the video, Davis also mentioned that he hadn’t really seen Jordan play while growing up and LeBron just had to be his favourite player, with his style and personality on the court.

LeBron and the Lakers have been planning to form a dynasty for sometime now, one that could overthrow the Warriors from the perch and make new NBA history.

A superstar alongside LeBron is an absolute necessity, as we have seen in the past few years that LeBron can manage to take his team to the NBA finals, but in order to win there, he does need a helping hand.

And with he plying his trade in the West this time round, going to the finals is going to be trickier than ever.

Anthony Davis has a massive career decision in front of him, one where he would have to weigh his options with respect to what and where he needs to land up. At the Lakers, he definitely stands a chance of creating history with his favourite player and then take on the mantle himself when LeBron retires, a few years from now.
