The French superstar came to Atletico as a prodigious young talent and has stepped up to become a world class forward. Now integral to both Atletico and France, Griezmann realizes that he is in the prime of his career and needs to exploit it to the fullest.

The graceful forward got his first goal at the brand new Vincente Calderon Stadium, as he clinically finished off a great move by the team.

He first slid in with a tackle to win the ball, and then received the return to power a shot into the goal.

It has been a great few days for Atletico, as the club have announced the signing of Diego Costa. The striker will join the club in January, after the clubs serves it’s transfer suspension.

With Costa and Griezmann in their side, Atletico will stand a great chance in both the league and the Champions League. We can surely expect some fireworks from them.
