WATCH: Bangladesh fan trolls Brendon McCullum after his Cricket World Cup 2019 prediction goes wrong

Bangladesh fan trolls Brendon McCullum after his predictions pertaining the ongoing  2019 Cricket World Cup goes wrong

A Bangladesh fan trolls the former New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum via a video which is currently doing quite some rounds on social media.

It is worth mentioning that McCullum had posted a team-wise detailed prediction of the 45 matches which the 10 teams would play in the league stages of the ongoing Cricket World Cup.

The predictions (apparently written in a notebook) were a break-down of different teams, stating which team will lose or win how many matches, and against which teams.

What were McCullum’s predictions?

The wicket-keeper batsman had predicted that India and Hosts England would lose just one match out of the eight they’d play during the league stages.

On the other hand, he had predicted only one win for Sri Lanka and Bangladesh after the league stages. Mccullum’s predictions went wrong quite early in the Tournament when Bangladesh defeated South Africa by 21 runs in only the 5th match of the tournament.

His predictions, especially for the Bangladesh matches have gone terribly wrong up till now. The one Bangladesh win that he had predicted was against Sri Lanka, which was also washed-off due to rain.

Moreover, Bangladesh’s recent win over the Windies by 7 wickets at Taunton, already make it two wins for them in the marquee Tournament. The win too, was worth applauding as the Bangladesh Tigers, chased down the highest ever total in World Cup matches against West Indies (321/8) with 8.3 overs still in the bank.

Bangladesh fans cashes on to the opportunity

A Bangladesh fan, who perhaps might have been eagerly waiting to spot Brendon Mccullum, pounced on the opportunity when he got one, to remind him the fact that Bangladesh have already won two matches, contrary to his prediction of a just a single win.

“Hey Mac (McCullum), Bangladesh already won two matches”, yelled the Bangladeshi fan so that his remark doesn’t go unheard.

McCullum, in fact gracefully accepted the fact yelled at him, and gave the fan a thumbs up, whilst smiling at him.
