The incident took place during Borussia Monchengladbach’s visit of Hoffenheim, an encounter the visitors went onto eventually lose 2-1 courtesy of a Ryan Sessegnon goal.
Marcus Thuram who had squared off with Hoffenheim’s Stefan Posch during the contest decided for some flummoxed reason that he wanted to make the news for the wrong reasons. Thuram was caught spitting in Posch’s face during the squabble between the two with VAR coming into play to send off the player.

Thuram Linked To Liverpool
Thuram was previously linked to Liverpool earlier this year. While nothing had transpired between the two parties back then, this recent act of misdemeanour is bound to massively put off any fathomable bid from Liverpool.
Movistar commentator Alain Valnegri had earlier told El Pais that Thuram was a target for Liverpool: “For me, Marcus is destined for a top club. He already sounded for Liverpool this summer. He has skill, he shoots, he’s a huge power, he’s a dribbler, and he moves well in tight spaces.”
Thuram hasn’t been in the best of form this season with scoring a measly four goals across all competitions for the club. His club hasn’t covered itself in glory with the club currently languishing in 8th place, devoid of a win in its last four fixtures.
