WATCH : Cristiano Ronaldo misses an open goal from two yards out

If nothing else, at least Cristiano Ronaldo’s slow start to the season has shown us he is indeed human. Some were doubting it though, especially after his incredible performances in the latter half of the Champions League last season.

Ronaldo scored five goals in the quarter finals against Bayern Munich, three against Atletico in the semi finals and a brace to win the final against Juventus. Such a feat was unheard of and absolutely ridiculed those critics that say that Real’s number seven does not turn up in big matches.

This season has been different though, as he has not yet hit his stride for the club. After missing several games due to suspension at the beginning of the season, Ronaldo has not had much time to get his act in order.

Last night’s match against Getafe was a good example of his bad luck, as he missed an open goal from two yards out!

By the way, Ronaldo did score the winner for Madrid later in the match!
