MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni was recently in the Kashmir valley to meet the Indian Army and have a chat with some young cricketers from the region. Dhoni visited the Kunzer district as he was the Chief Guest for the final of the Chinar Cricket Premier League.

But the crowd wasn’t very receptive(or at least some of them), as a small group of them started chanting ‘Boom Boom Afridi’ when Dhoni walked past a large group of fans.

But Dhoni being his usual self, paid no heed to what the fans were saying, and did not even turn to address the chants that were pretty much aimed at him.

With the growing political tensions between the two nations, especially in the concerned region, it was probably in everyone’s best interests that Dhoni did not respond to the chants in any way(even if he completely missed them).

The tournament held in Baramulla received great response from teams in the vicinity as close to 110 teams competed and as a result the organisers wanted to top it off with Dhoni coming in for the finals.

The video shows a small section of the crowd shouting ‘Boom Boom Afridi’ as soon as MS Dhoni arrived at the venue.

The security force was trying its best to control the crowd as a very large group had turned up to watch their hero grace the event. But even they could not prevent that small section from making Afridi and Zakir Mosa chants.
