What a finish!

Walking into the middle, DK knew that he had a huge task at hand in front of him, as India needed another 34 runs from the final two overs.
After a sensational over from the Fizz, Bangladesh must have thought that they had the match in the bag, as even the most optimistic Indian fan could not see a victory coming.
But no one told that to DK, as he smashed 22 off Rubel in the 18th over, leaving Indian 12 runs to get off the final over.

It came down to five of the last ball, as DK was one strike to face Soumya Sarkar to win the Nidahas Trophy. Ultimately DK was too good, as the veteran hit a flat six over extra cover to win an incredible match for his team.
DK’s smile told the whole story, as the Tamil Nadu player soaked in the best moment of his 14 year long career. Karthik has been around for a long time, but unfortunately for him he played during the MS Dhoni era, as he always found himself in the great man’s shadow.

But no tonight, as DK had his Mianded moment and shone brightly in the Colombo night. He was just there for eight balls, but DK played one of the best T20I innings we have seen in a very long time.
After playing superbly throughout the tournament, India were deserved winners, as Rohit Sharma’s men played extremely well and were excellent all around.
It was hard for Bangladesh, as they once again lost out to India in a last ball T20I finish, but India will find it hard to feel any sort of remorse for their neighbours.
