WATCH: Jofra Archer pokes fun at Jason Roy during photo shoot with England's Prime Minister

Jofra Archer pokes fun at Jason Roy: The English fast bowler and opening batsman were seen in enjoyable spirits with each other.

England fast bowler Jofra Archer was recently seen as poking fun at opening batsman Jason Roy during England’s photo shoot with Prime Minister Theresa May after their maiden Cricket World Cup victory. A video of the English cricketers has been uploaded on Sky Sports Cricket’s official Twitter handle and has been doing the rounds since then.

The video witnesses Archer in his continuous attempt to make Roy laugh especially when the English team were getting clicked with the Prime Minister. From touching Roy’s ears to making signs behind his head, Archer tried a few things before making Roy laugh. Both the cricketer were then seen laughing at each other.

Talking about their performances in this World Cup, Archer finished as England’s highest wicket-taker and third-highest overall in the tournament. Having made his ODI debut less than a month before the IPL, the numbers were staggering for a rookie bowler.

In 11 ODIs, Archer dismissed 20 batsmen at an average of 23.05, an economy rate of 4.57 and a strike rate of 30.2. From making early inroads into the opposition’s batting lineup to saving runs towards the end, Archer unequivocally played a vital role in England’s winning campaign.

Roy, who became a source of concern after getting injured in the World Cup, recovered well in the second half of the tournament to form a formidable opening duo with Jonny Bairstow. In eight ODIs, Roy scored 443 runs at an impressive average of 63.28 and a strike rate of 115.36 including one century and four half-centuries.
