After a terrible mid week, League Cup encounter against Bristol City, Manchester United came to King Power stadium with intent. They wanted to spring together a performance that could wash away the hangover of that shock defeat to Bristol City, and the way they started the game, it looked like they would end up succeeding in it.
But a terrific counter-attack by Leicester, constructed by the usual suspects, Vardy and Mahrez, left Manchester United gasping for breath, as the duo brought back memories from the 2015-15 season when Leicester had won the Premier League title.
Manchester United needed a response and a response they produced. Martial started driving at defenders from the left, and it just seemed like Manchester United had it in them to script a comeback.
For the goal, Martial put in a teasing ball into the box, which took a small deflection and conveniently fell in the path of Lingard who gleefully teed it up for Mata, who unleashed a pin-point finish to equalise for Manchester United.

Jose Mourinho would be hoping that his players can build on this equaliser and take home 3 points, as there is next to no margin for error for Manchester United as far as the title race is concerned.
