WATCH : Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn OFFICIALLY reunite on SmackDown
In what was one of the most surreal moments in recent history, Sami Zayn came to the rescue of his arch rival Kevin Owens and saved him in the Hell in a Cell match against Shane McMahon.
Zayn rushed to ring and pulled Owens off the announce table just before Shane jumped on him from the top of the cell. It came at the end of one of the best matches of the year, as Owens and Shane put on a fantastic show for the WWE Universe.

Last night on SmackDown, Zayn met Owens in the ring and explained that reasons for his shocking save. Owens admitted that he had no idea that Zayn would come to his aid, which is why he wanted to hear Zayn out for himself.
Zayn explained that he had stooped to mediocrity and that Shane McMahon did not care about him. And no matter, Owens was still a brother to him which is why he saved him at the Hell in a Cell pay per view.
