WATCH: Man City trolled as kids invited by Raheem Sterling to FA Cup admit to like Man Utd

Raheem Sterling invited the kids from his school to attend Man City’s FA Cup semifinal against Brighton. However, things turned awkward when they admitted they don’t support City.

Manchester City defeated Brighton and Hove Albion to reach the final of the FA Cup last night.

Gabriel Jesus’ 4th-minute goal made the sole difference between the two sides, as Manchester City advanced to the final. The side is currently second in the Premier League and is in contention for the league title as well.

With the Carabao Cup already in the trophy cabinet and a quarterfinal against Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League next week, the side can aim for a historic quadruple.

Raheem Sterling, who has been one of the best performers in the Premier League this season, paid for the tickets of  550 kids from his old school to watch Manchester City’s semifinal against Brighton.

However, things turned rather awkward.

Kids admit they aren’t City fans:

A group of students were interviewed during the halftime of the game, with Manchester City leading 1-0.

The students, who were donning the Manchester City scarf, didn’t shy away from admitting their allegiance to different clubs.

While two kids admitted to supporting City’s derby rivals, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea had a supporter each.

Watch:

Manchester City failed to fill the seats during the FA Cup semifinal. Brighton, meanwhile, were able to sell their tickets with ease, which makes the video more embarrassing for the Blues.

However, this hardly seems to be a concern for Manchester City, who will travel to the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next week as the side takes on Mauricio Pochettino’s men in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinal.

How Twitter reacted..

What next?

Manchester City will take on Crystal Palace in the Premier League after their game against Tottenham in the Champions League.
