Watch: Mike Dean produces his first dummy of the season just 3 minutes into the game between Manchester City and West Ham.
Manchester City are taking on West Ham in their opening match of the season. They are currently leading 2-0 at the moment and look set to start their campaign with a victory. However, the talking point of the match has not been either of the goals or the players but the man with the whistle instead.

Referee Mike Dean, popular for producing dummies in the matches he officiates, took just 3 minutes to produce another one of his trademarks this season. Dean, while running with the other players in the field, stepped over a pass from Oleksandr Zinchenko to Raheem Sterling, proving that he could easily slip into City’s midfield.

City’s utter dominance
Manchester City took the lead in the 24th minute courtesy of Gabriel Jesus, who placed the ball into the nets after receiving a great pass from Kyle Walker. Manchester City, then quadrupled their lead after half-time by way of Raheem Sterling’s brace and Sergio Aguero’s penalty. They are currently cruising and should win the match quite comfortably.
Manchester City won all domestic trophies available last season and will look for an encore this season. They have already grabbed the Community Shield and will now look to build on that. Several of City’s top players such as Bernardo Silva and Sergio Aguero were not in the playing XI. However, City have shown once again they have enough depth in their squad.
