During the third T20I of the ongoing Pakistan’s tour of Australia at the Perth Stadium, Australia fast bowler Mitchell Starc drew first blood in his second over to send back Pakistan captain Babar Azam (6) and wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan (0).
It all started on the second delivery of the third over when Starc found Azam wanting in front of the stumps. Having scored consecutive half-centuries in the first two matches, Azam was dismissed cheaply today despite him opting for a review.

Rizwan, who got a batting promotion at No. 3, couldn’t make the opportunity count as Starc’s in-swinging full-length delivery proved to be too much for him. The 27-year old player walked back to the pavilion after facing a lone delivery.
After Australia captain Aaron Finch won the toss and opted to bowl, Starc provided the best possible start to the hosts. Having sent back the top-order batsmen, Australia are not making inroads into Pakistan’s middle-order.
While Australia played fast bowlers Billy Stanlake and Sean Abbott for Pat Cummins and Adam Zampa in this match, the visitors have included two debutants in Khushdil Shah and Muhammad Musa and Mohammad Hasnain in place of Asif Ali, Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Irfan.
Given the start that Australia have registered, they have a chance to clinch the series 2-0 and extent their unbeaten spree at home this season.
