WATCH: MS Dhoni receives a huge reception from Chennai crowd
The IPL was back to Chennai after a gap of 1095 days and there was an air of expectancy around the stadium, as all CSK fans wanted to see their heroes in yellow play at home once again.
And while all players got a lot of applause while coming into the ground, something very special was reserved for ‘Thala Dhoni’ when he walked out to bat after Ambati Rayudu had holed out to Kuldeep Yadav at cover boundary.
There was a rise reception from Chennai’s adopted son, as Dhoni walked out into the centre for the first time in 1095 days.

Match Situation
Andre Russell helped KKR reach a humongous total of 202 in the first innings despite a flurry of wickets during the middle stages.
With 203 to chase, it was always important that CSK got off to flyer, and the CSK openers obliged big time, taking apart the KKR bowling unit in the pwoerplay.
But just as Shane Watson was getting into the groove, he holed out to Rinku Singh in the deep.
Ambati Rayudu too lost his wicket after a well made 39 of 26 balls.
Raina and Dhoni are out in the middle right now and CSK fans would be hoping that the ‘Chennai boys’ can take the team home. Raina although is struggling with cramps in the hot and humid conditions of Chennai and isn’t able to run freely.
CSK now need 100 runs to win from the last 8 overs.
