Dhoni’s adorable Instagram video: Former India captain was seen bonding over a carrot with her daughter in an Instagram post.

Former India captain and current wicket-keeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who is currently not part of the Indian team which is playing a T20I series in Australia, was recently seen bonding over a carrot with his daughter Ziva Dhoni.

In which was an Instagram post uploaded on the official Instagram handle of Dhoni, it came as a respite for Dhoni’s plentiful and loyal fans for Dhoni has uploaded a post after almost three months. The video gained instant response from Dhoni’s fans to the extent that it has gone viral on Instagram.

On a professional front, it hasn’t been the best of years for Dhoni. Apart from having his worst year ever in ODIs, the 37-year old cricketer was dropped from the T20I squad of late.

While there have been numerous suggestions from former cricketers regarding Dhoni playing domestic cricket in a bid to remain in touch with the game, it is unlikely that Dhoni will pursue it for he has expressed his views in the past with respect to not playing at the cost of a youngster’s place in Jharkhand’s team.

Moreover, with the Ranji Trophy going on at the moment, Dhoni feels that there is no point in playing a format in which he has already retired at the highest level.

Dhoni’s next international assignment will be the ODI leg of the ongoing India’s tour of Australia. The three-match ODI series will commence on January 12 next year.
