WATCH: Rohit Sharma takes us through India’s indoor training session
The Indian team is currently in Cape Town, preparing for the first test against South Africa at the Newlands.
BCCI opted out of the practice match, as they wanted to have extensive practice sessions, with different kinds of wickets in order to get ready for the South African conditions.
The Indians had a very fruitful outdoor session on the first day, but heavy rains in Cape Town on the second day, meant that India had to go in for an indoor training session.
In a video released by the BCCI today, Rohit Sharma is seen taking the viewers through the training session, talking about the different kinds of drills that the Indians are undergoing in order to get match-ready before the all important 1st Test.

Rohit Sharma would be vying for the number 6 spot in the Indian team, after having had a successful series against Sri Lanka at home.
Hardik Pandya too could be deployed in that number 6 role, if India decide to go in with that extra seaming option.
The First Test is set to begin on the 5th of January at the Newlands in Cape Town.
