Watch: Sporting U17 score a goal in 13 seconds without touching the ball once! The hilarious goal came against Uniao Almeirim U17.
In a football match, most sides look to place the ball in the opposing side’s net. This can be achieved through several methods. Some teams dominate possession and look for spaces while some teams play direct football with the sole intent to find the back of the net.

While the ten outfielders plot a way of finding a goal, the goal keeper mostly stays stationary with the sole purpose of attempting to prevent the opposition from doing the same. However, in an U17 match between Sporting Lisbon and Uniao Almeirim, Almeirim hilariously failed to do both.

Uniao Almeirim started the game positively. They tried to keep possession of the ball and passed it around in hopes of creating chances. However, Sporting Lisbon’s attacking intent meant that Almeirim had to make do with passing the ball behind instead of taking it forward.
Pressed for space, the ball was passed to the keeper who passed it to the defender on the left. The ball was pushed back to the keeper in hopes that he would push it ahead and release the pressure applied by Sporting. Unfortunately for the keeper, he completely missed his kick and the ball trickled into his goal as he watched in anguish.

Almeirim’s keeper was not too happy after conceding the goal and was visibly devastated with his blunder. Fortunately for him, his team was quite understanding of him and even consoled him.
The two teams faced each other in 2018 with the result going in Sporting Lisbon’s favour 8-0. Sporting won this match 4-0; an improvement of sorts for Almeirim but they would hope to close the gap in future encounters.
