WATCH: Virat Kohli hits sublime six off Kesrick Williams before "Notebook" celebration in Hyderabad

Virat Kohli hits sublime six off Kesrick Williams: The Indian captain played yet another match-winning innings for India.

During the first T20I of the ongoing West Indies’ tour of India in Hyderabad, India captain Virat Kohli scored his 23rd T20I half-century to lead India to yet another victory.

Chasing a 208-run target, it wasn’t the best of starts for Kohli as he often mis-timed the ball in his attempt to play the big shots. Having played at a strike rate of 100 for the first 20 balls, Kohli dictated terms during the second half of his innings.

The highlight of Kohli’s innings saw him hitting West Indies fast bowler Kesrick Williams for a sublime six on the third delivery of the 16th over. The supreme use of his wrists for hitting Williams over long-on followed by the “Notebook Celebration” was the pinnacle of Kohli’s innings.

What added to the entertainment factor with respect to the celebration was Kohli and Williams facing off each other throughout the Indian innings. Kohli, who remained expressive throughout his innings, gave several sights of emotions getting the better of him tonight.

It was a 100-run partnership for the second wicket between opening batsman Lokesh Rahul (62) and Kohli which laid the foundation of the Indian victory. Scoring the winning runs for the hosts, Kohli scored 94* (50) with the help of six fours and six sixes.

After Kohli won the toss and invited West Indies to bat, the visitors scored 207/5 in their allotted quota of 20 overs. Coming in to bat at No. 4 in the sixth over, batsman Shimron Hetmyer top-scored for West Indies with 56 (41) with the help of two fours and four sixes.
