After almost a decade as the captain of the Indian team, MS Dhoni decided to give up his captaincy earlier this year. It marked the end of what has till date been the most successful reign that any Indian captain has ever had.

While Ganguly deserves a lot of plaudits for shaping Indian cricket around the turn of the century, he could not match the trophy cabinet that MS Dhoni now possesses.

Dhoni won every ICC tournament during his time as skipper and was also a hugely successful skipper for the Chennai Super Kings. So when the time did come for him to go back to being just another player in squad, fans were wondering if the dynamic between him and his successor Kohli would work for Indian cricket.

So far, it looks like the transition has been handled brilliantly with Indian cricket just going from strength to strength.

Kohli recently spoke about Dhoni in an interview with Gaurav Kapur in which he talks about his brilliant relationship with Dhoni.
