Virat Kohli's funny reply on India's squad

Virat Kohli’s funny reply on India’s squad: The Indian captain was found wanting during the post-series presser last night.

India captain Virat Kohli was found wanting during the post-series press conference last night after a reporter highlighted his contradicting comments regarding the Indian squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

Vocal about India’s combination, Kohli ended up saying two different things during the toss and during the post-match presentation. During the toss, Kohli claimed India to be the best chasing team in the world and talked about a settled playing squad for the world event.

“We are one of the best chasing teams in the world. We have to show that today. [Do you know your World Cup combination now?] In terms of team balance, we are sorted it our head. We aren’t unbeatable. But so long as we can learn from our losses, we’re okay,” Kohli was quoted as saying.

However, during the post-match presentation ceremony, Kohli laid emphasis on India still needing to discuss one spot before the World Cup. “So we are not in a confused state anymore. Just probably one spot in the team that we have to discuss, and the rest of the team is pretty much sorted for us and we have been feeling pretty much balanced,” Kohli had said.

Chetan Narula questions Virat Kohli

It was renowned journalist Chetan Narula who question the Indian skipper regarding the ‘one spot’. “You said that your playing XI [in Delhi] is what you want to play in the World Cup. But in the post-match presentation, you talked about one spot left for discussion. Can you just outline what you were talking about?” he asked.

“No. Nice one! Wait for a month,” Kohli answered funnily enough to make everyone in the room including him laugh. Watch the full video below:
