Virat Kohli challenges MS Dhoni and Anushka Sharma for the HumFitTohIndiaFit challenge. After Virat Kohli accepted the challenge given to him by the Sports & Youth Affairs Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore as part of the HumFitTohIndiaFit campaign, he has further challenged MS Dhoni and Anushka Sharma.

Dhoni was asked about Kohli’s captaincy and here is what the CSK Capatin had to say.

MS Dhoni is arguably the most successful captain in the history of Indian cricket. He is known for his out of box decisions and believing in his teammates. He is the only captain in the world to win all three ICC trophies. He also led India to No. 1 in Tests and won Test mace.

Dhoni stepped down as the captain of India from the limited over format at the beginning of 2017 when India was about to tour England. He gave up the captaincy to the well-established Test Captain Virat Kohli who already did wonders with the team. However, Dhoni is currently captaining CSK in the ongoing IPL season and the fans are enjoying every moment of it.

Recently during a promotional event, Dhoni was asked to share his views on Virat Kohli’s captaincy. He expressed his captaincy with a simple remark, “”He’s very good”.

While discussing what makes a good captain, Dhoni said, “I always felt a good captain is the one who understands the individuals because if you don’t know a player’s strength or weakness, you cannot give him the proper advice.”

“I think it’s important how good you are as a team and how good you are as an individual, who helps others to perform,” added Dhoni.

CSK skipper was also asked what he likes – being a normal player or a captain. In reply, Dhoni said: “Being a normal player is much more important. You work through the ranks. It helps you understand the game, the problems that you may face as a player. Once you reach the top you would know what an individual would be feeling.”

Here’s the video:

Under Kohli’s captaincy, the Indian side has done magnificently well. They have won all their last 8 ODI series and 8 out of 9 last Test series.  India is ranking at the peak in ICC Test Ranking and at the second position in ODI ranking.

I, a failed cricketer say: write picturesque, write insightful; otherwise don’t write. My writings are a source of self pleasure. Enjoy a fiercely fought test session much more than a slam bang T20. I write anything, as per whim- news piece, feature, opinion, editorial, preview, analysis etc. Hope to write a book one day!
