A T20 league which has raised its bar significantly within a year is the Global T20 League. Known as GT20 2019, the second season of the league will commence in a few hours from now in Ontario. With the addition of numerous big names for this season, the league is slated to make its presence felt now.
Canada, which is primarily new to the world of T20 leagues, has a great scope of seeing the game get promoted on the back of the presence of players such as Kane Williamson, Faf du Plessis, Shakib Al Hasan, Chris Gayle, Trent Boult, Yuvraj Singh and many more.

Considering the venue and the amount of Punjabi people residing over there, expect the presence of former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh alluring fans to the stadiums. While it is the first time that Indian players will take in the Global T20 League, the presence of former India and Punjab bowler Manpreet Singh Gony alongside Yuvraj should also entice spectators.

During the opening ceremony of the tournament, renowned Punjabi and Bollywood singer Guru Randhawa was seen performing on the stage. Given the sensation that he is, Randhawa’s tracks were seen receiving a warm response from the spectators.
The moment of the night was both cheered and recorded when Yuvraj joined Randhawa on the stage to shake a leg (or two). The duo was seen putting Bhangra on the the latter’s blockbuster song ‘Suit’. The video of the same was shared by former Australia cricketer Dean Jones across his social media platforms.

Yuvraj, who will be playing for Toronto Nationals alongside Gony, will take the field in the season opener against Vancouver Knights comprising of Universe Boss Chris Gayle.
