Wayne Rooney: Watch Former Man Utd Skipper score from own half in a ridiculous fashion
Watch the video of Wayne Rooney scoring from his own box in a spectacular fashion.
Wayne Rooney has just scored a blinder for DC United from his own half. To make things sweeter, that goal was the winner as DC firmly held to a 1-0 lead against Orlando City.
The English International broke through the counter-attack, but saw the developing stage of an open net as the keeper was well beyond the reach of the goal post. With extraordinary vision, the former Manchester United striker blasted the ball from half-way to see the net shaking.
Goalkeeper Brian Rowe tried to get back to his spot, but the cent per cent execution meant that the ball had enough venom and dip. It was one of the best goals Rooney would have ever scored.

This is not the first time Wayne Rooney has scored in this fashion. During his stint with Manchester United, the English International decided to be courageous and had a go from the middle of the pitch. Goalkeeper Adrian was caught in no man’s land and struggled to get back on time to palm the ball away.
Premier League official account did not waste any time. They posted a video of Wayne Rooney scoring from the middle of the pitch against West Ham, by tagging DC United as well.

The 33-year-old is a top-notch form this season by scoring nine and assisting four from 17 games. DC United are currently third in the table, but they are in touching distance of Philadelphia and Montreal Impact, just behind two points.
