KXIP vs RCB Match Prediction

KXIP vs RCB Match Prediction: The Sportsrush presents before you the Match Prediction of 28th match of IPL 2019.

The 28th match of the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League will be played between Kings XI Punjab and Royal Challengers Bangalore at Mohali tomorrow. With both teams coming on the back of individual losses, it calls for a riveting contest at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Cricket Stadium.

Out of the three matches which Kings XI have played at these home ground this season, they are yet to let the away team gain a couple of points. Therefore, Royal Challengers have a daunting task lying in front of them. It is worth mentioning that RCB have lost six matches on the trot so far in this season.

KXIP vs RCB – What numbers suggest?

Kings XI Punjab and Royal Challengers Bangalore have played a total of 22 matches so far. While Kings XI have won 12 out of those, Royal Challengers have won 10. Talking about playing in Mohali, both teams have won three matches each out of the six matches played against each other.

A stat which is likely to favour the visitors is both the teams’ average score against each other. While Punjab’s average score against Bangalore is 153, Bangalore’s average score against Punjab is 159.

KXIP vs RCB – Paper value

Other than the average score, what is likely to come handy for the Royal Challengers is the law of averages. Yet to register a victory this season, RCB might just do that post six defeats. Other than these two factor, things appears bleak for Royal Challengers despite them comprising of captain Virat Kohli and star batsmen AB de Villiers.

On the contrary, Punjab would be keen to bank on the form of their batsmen, primarily the openers – Lokesh Rahul and Chris Gayle. While captain Ravichandran Ashwin has rotated his bowlers, them coming together to form a successful unit bodes well for the hosts. Given their current form and past record against RCB, KXIP are the current favourites to win tomorrow night.
