Marcus Rashford: Man Utd star wants two guarantees to pledge his future to Red Devils

Marcus Rashford wants two guarantees to pledge his future to the Red Devils.

Manchester United are planning to keep their star in the summer transfer, but Solskjaer is not particularly sure about their future. The club has missed out on the Champions League which has cast doubts on their important players, who have not put pen to paper. David De Gea, Paul Pogba, and Marcus Rashford are yet to pledge their futures to the club as their contracts expire in the near future.

Breaking through the academy, Marcus Rashford has earned praise for his good-doings, but he has been catastrophic off late. The English International was bagging goals for fun when Solskjaer took over, but things have become from bad to worse as the contract conundrum carries on.

According to the English publication, Metro, the 21-year-old is wanting two assurances to extend his contract with the Red Devils. It is understood that he wants assurance that the club will not flump casting doubts over recent form.

As for Solskjaer, he is keen to retain the forward at Old Trafford, but his contract demand is causing a hindrance at the club. Rashford wants £300,000 per week to pledge his future to the Red Devils. United know that his contract runs down in 2020 and they have a one-year automatic extension to keep him at Old Trafford, potentially up to 2021.

As ridiculous it might sound, the club are aware of the interest from Barcelona, who are allegedly ready to bid 100 million for the youngster. Whether the landscape would change after Antoine Griezmann’s inevitable signing would change is yet to be witnessed.

Manchester United are preparing for their lives without David De Gea, who looks to head to the exit door. The club had bid presumably turned down by Ajax for Andre Onana. Besides, midfielder Paul Pogba is also linked with Real Madrid.

What’s next?
