World Badminton Championships Day 1(21/8/17): Complete Schedule for Indian Shuttlers

World Badminton Championships

The BWF World Badminton Championship gets underway today, as the world’s finest shuttlers assemble in Glasgow to achieve world supremacy.

India has sent in its strongest ever contingent, acquiring 4 slots in both the men’s and women’s singles event, and is hopeful of at least doubling its previous tally of 1 medal at the event.

Kidambi Srikanth and PV Sindhu would be vying for top honours in the men’s and women’s singles event respectively.

Sindhu would feature on Day 2, as she is placed in the top half of the draw. Kidambi Srikanth though will feature on Day 1, along with Sameer Verma.

Sameer Verma vs Pablo Abian – 8.30pm approx

Women’s singles

Rituparna Das vs Airi Mikkela – 9.50pm approx.

Mixed doubles
