Buller Club founder Finn Balor receives invitation to rejoin faction

Buller Club founder Finn Balor receives invitation to rejoin faction. The NXT Champion was the first leader of the NJPW stable.

Kenta recently appeared on AEW Dynamite. He attacked Jon Moxley, the current holder of the NJPW United States Champion. Kenta did not just knock the former AEW Champion down but also broke the forbidden door that kept the two promotions apart.

In doing so, the Bullet Club member reintroduced the group to Western Audience once again. The founder of the stable, Finn Balor took notice of this and sent out a tweet mentioning all the past and present members who helped towards its success.

Balor’s tweet was not gone unnoticed. Tama Tonga, one of the names mentioned by the current NXT Champion, replied with a GIF of an opening door, implying that the door was open for him to return where it all started.

Bullet Club originated back in 2013 out of a storyline involving Balor, known as Prince Devitt back then, turning on his longtime tag team partner Ryusuke Taguchi. He came up with the name in reference to his finger gun hand gesture and “Real Shooter” nickname.

Balor joined the WWE in 2014. Following his departure, Karl Anderson was positioned as the leader of the group. By the end of 2015, the leadership seemed to have transitioned to AJ Styles. Styles would join Balor in the WWE by 2016 and was replaced by Kenny Omega.

If Balor’s reign established the group and Styles’ reign marked their dominance, Omega’s reign was about expansion. The faction reached the peak of its popularity under the Cleaner. However, his leadership also caused a rift among the group, eventually splitting them into the OG’s and the Elite before the latter left NJPW.

Jay White would go on to become their final leader. Like the two previous leaders, White would also capture the IWGP Championship. During his absence, EVIL stepped in as the makeshift leader. Like his predecessors, he also became the IWGP Champion.

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
