Such has been the aura of Dwayne Johnson. Presently associated with Hollywood, Dwayne Johnson is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to entertaining his fans.

The Rock has been successful in electrifying members of the WWE Universe and moviegoers of all ages. The charismatic personality of the wrestler has been successful in attracting an audience of all ages. In one part where his moves used to create fear among his counterparts in the arena of wrestling at the same time, the same moves were the ones the audience used to shower praise upon.

This aura of the wrestler laid the chief of WWE, Vince McMahon to support him in a major way. Former WWE announcer Jim Ross said that the WWE Chief had realized the talent of the wrestler in his very early days. And due to this reason, Vince supported The Rock since his early days in WWE. The former announcer of WWE also said it did not take long for the Chairperson of WWE to become a fan of Dwayne Johnson.

‘It didn’t take long for Vince to become a Rock fan,’

Speaking on the recent episode of Grilling JR, Ross opened up about how McMahon quickly took a liking to and supported The Great One on his WWE journey,

“Vince’s cost to stay optimistic in the beginning because you know he’s had seen these beautiful packages sometimes don’t play out but in time Vince became a huge Rock supporter… If you’re around him you can feel his enthusiasm and he also had a background being in the family business that he understood things that a lot of guys took time to assimilate. So it didn’t take long for Vince to become a Rock fan.”

It was no turning back for the wrestler since then. The People’s Champion and the Billionaire teamed up when he joined The Corporation in 1998 where he defeated Mankind to win the WWF Championship. The love and appreciation the wrestler is receiving today weren’t the same in his early days. Fans used to constantly boo him and chant “Die Rocky Die” during his matches. Ross, speaking about the same revealed the for people unliked the great wrestler during his early wrestling days.

“It might’ve been a little too much too soon. I think that’s what turned the people against The Rock. He didn’t do anything character-wise. He didn’t change his personality, but he was a rookie green kid handsome, caused a lot of jealousy with men. 18 to 49 that beloved demographic, but I think probably a little too much too soon. I’m not so sure looking back at it if it was the thing to do to have him win that match,” concluded the former WWE announcer.
