SummerSlam will take place on August 21 next month. However, it appears that a fliming schedule will keep Cena away from the Allegiant Stadium in the Las Vegas. According to Variety, The Cenation Leader will be among an all-star cast including Henry Cavill, Samuel L. Jackson and pop singer Dua Lipa in director Matthew Vaughn’s new film, Argylle.

Shooting for the film is said to begin next month in Europe. With the continent’s stict quarantine measures, it will be hard for Cena to make it to Las Vegas in time. Even if he does manage to get to the Allegiant Stadium on the 21st, there will also be the concern of Cena hurting himself during the match and halting filming.
The production company will not necessary want to deal with an issue they can just easily avoid in the first place. So it is unlikely that he will be allowed to wrestle even if he gets around the scheduling conflict.
Cena also missed Wrestlemania this year due to scheduling conflicts. He was shooting the Peacemaker HBO Max spin-off series in Canada. The quarantine laws in the country made it impossible for him to make an appearance at Wrestlemania 37 and back in time to Canada for the shoot.
