Tony Khan doesn’t hold back from openly taking shots at WWE. While WWE is still the pro wrestling giant, AEW is its biggest rival since WCW. Every now and then, WWE and its representatives somehow get Tony Khan’s goat, only to be castigated by the AEW president. This time, Tony Khan lambasted ESPN reporter, Mike Coppinger, for insinuating that AEW All In is an inferior show based on its rumored capacity seats.
AEW All In will take place in London at Wembley Stadium. Yesterday, multiple reports revealed that AEW sold 35,000 tickets for All In pre-sales. The spawned pre-sales of tickets on the first day make ALL In AEW’s most significant event in history.
However, Mike Coppinger took to Twitter to hint that the show isn’t as big as it should be when compared to the boxing event last year, Tyson Fury Vs Dillian Whyte.
Tony Khan severely reprimands an ESPN reporter for insinuating that AEW All In is an inferior show
While it is true that Wembley Stadium was sold out for the Fury and Whyte fight last year, Mike Coppinger claimed that the seats at the stadium are capped at 40,000 for All In. Wembley Stadium can accommodate a capacity crowd of 90,000. It should be noted that the capacity was reportedly expanded to 94,000 last year for the Fury Vs Whyte fight.
Hearing Wembley is scaled for only 40K for AEW – far cry from last April when I was ringside for Tyson Fury-Dillian Whyte and it was packed to the brim with 94,000. Nothing beats the big-fight feel at Wembley

Since you carry the credentials of a credible reporter + represent the Worldwide Leader, I’m just curious: who was your source for this, and how can a reporter representing ESPN tweet something about a legit news story that’s so blatantly wrong and easily verified as a falsehood?

Tony Khan then responded, giving the reporter a piece of his mind. In the first Tweet, Khan impugned Coppinger’s credibility.
The AEW head honcho demanded that Mike Coppinger lay out the facts and the source that confirms that AEW All In is capping at 40,000. In the second Tweet, Khan shut him down by calling him a liar. He implied that he was fed incorrect information by his “agent” Nick Khan.
For the unaware, Nick Khan is the CEO and President of WWE.
LIES. What a load of crap. Tell your agent Nick Khan to shove it up his as*

“LIES. What a load of crap. Tell your agent, Nick Khan, to shove it up his as*”
Khan’s losing it on social media goes to show that the AEW scaling its seats at 40,000 at Wembley Stadium is misleading.
The Young Bucks react to AEW’s All In Pre-sales
Initially, AEW had a lot of doubters. However, the fact that All In sold around 35,000 tickets on the first day before its general sale has proven the doubters wrong. Reacting to the success, The Young Bucks changed their Twitter bio to – “We did it again, huh?”

At first, the fans and other wrestling personalities believed that AEW needed CM Punk to sell out the stadium. However, even without CM Punk, ticket sales have skyrocketed. Nevertheless, CM Punk has been touring wrestling shows these days. It remains to be seen if AEW is also on his tour schedule.
