WWE Extreme Rules undergoes yet another name change

Extreme Rules was presented as WWE Extreme Rules: The Horror Show last month. However, it has now undergone yet another name change.

WWE are all set to set host Extreme Rules later this month. While the event is less than two weeks away, it seems that the promotion is yet to zero in on a name for the event. WWE Extreme Rules has now undergone two name changes in a fortnight.

Extreme Rules was rebranded as WWE Extreme Rules: The horror show earlier last month. However, the company is now calling the Pay per view, ‘The Horror Show at Extreme Rules’. The changes have also been made on their website.

So far only 4 matches have been announced for the pay per view. Both of the Women’s tag team champions will be in action, albeit, in singles action. Bayley will defend her SmackDown women’s championship against Nikki Cross while Sasha Banks found herself on RAW a couple of weeks back.

The Boss revealed her desire to wear two belts like her partner Bayley and will aim to snatch the Raw Women’s Championship from Asuka.

While both the World Champions are also scheduled to take part in the event, only the WWE title will be defended. Dolph Ziggler recently switched brands from SmackDown to Raw and immediately challenged his former tag team partner to a match. McIntyre accepted the challenge.

Braun Strowman, on the other hand, will take on his former leader Bray Wyatt, in a non-title Wyatt Swamp Match. The pair went head to head at Money in the Bank where Strowman beat Wyatt. The former cult leader would return to WWE programming after a month off and challenged Strowman to yet another match. Interestingly, it will be Wyatt again and not the fiend who will be in action.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
