WWE wants either Cena, Rock or Austin to special referee Lesnar vs Mahal at Survivor Series

With Survivor Series right around the corner, fans have already started speculating on the type of matches that we could see at the big event.

While the build up to the Team Raw vs Team Smackdown match has already started off with a bang, the match up between Jinder Mahal and Brock Lesnar seems a little underwhelming to say the least.

Make no mistake about it, Paul Heyman was correct when he said that Lesnar and Mahal do not belong in the same category. Lesnar will go down as one of the greatest performers in the industry, while Mahal is just in the midst of his first title reign.

So how do you make this Champion vs Champion match more interesting? Well it looks like WWE have something really special up their sleeve for this particular match up.

According to reports, Vince wants to have either Steve Austin, The Rock or John Cena as the special guest referee for the Lesnar-Mahal clash.

This could open up a whole lot of possibilities!

As of right now, Lesnar is penciled in to face Reigns for the title at Wrestlemania in what could be his last match for the company. But if WWE decides to change those plans, they could also be willing to go for Brock versus The Rock at the mega event.

It would be a blockbuster match that would certainly sell out the event. If this were to happen, then having the Rock as the guest referee would make a lot of sense.

Vince also wants to have Cena face Mahal at ‘Mania which would is why John’s addition as the referee would make sense as well. And if neither of those plans work out, you always have Steve Austin to raise some hell!

No matter what, it looks like the WWE Universe are going to be the eventual winners.
