The Ivory Coast player’s agent has revealed information about Yaya Toure’s medical in London. The player left Manchester City last season.
Yaya Toure left Manchester City at the end of last season after an illustrious career with the Etihad Stadium outfit. The Ivory Coast midfielder has been a free agent all this while, but in the last one or two weeks, speculation grew about a potential move to a London club for the 35 year old.
West Ham United has been a prospective destination since the opening days of the rumour for Yaya Toure, however, his agent who usually speaks stuff publicly has confirmed that his client will not be joining the Hammers. In spite of Manuel Pellegrini’s appointment and signings of new players, West Ham are bottom of the pile in the Premier League with no points to their.
Successive defeats to the hands of Liverpool, Bournemouth and Arsenal have condemned the London Stadium club to be deep into the relegation zone. Dimitry Seluk, the former Ivory Coast international’s agent tweeted, “Toure has passed a medical in London. Yaya is close to signing a new contract.”

With the announcement about a successful medical examination being made, the only detail and the most important one yet to be revealed is the identity of the club. An eager fan suggested that the former Manchester City player could reunite with the former Manchester City boss at the Hammers. But Seluk shot him down, writing: ‘It’s not West Ham, 100%. Yaya is a champion. The last place is not for him.’

The Gunners are now the favourites to sign the 35 year old midfielder in the next 48 hours until the closure of the transfer window. While the Premier League’s transfer window has already been shut, its clubs can sign players on loan or those who are free agents. Arsenal could do just that following an anyway busy transfer period.
