17 Year Old Estudiantes Wonderkid On Verge Of Joining Manchester City For 12 Million Euros: A deal for the player is said to be completed once the January window commences
Even before the January transfer window has thrown open its doors, Manchester City have emerged as one of the heavy and early movers. After losing out on Eric Garcia with the defender deciding to exit for Barcelona, the club has finally made its first purchase of the window.
Argentina’s Dario Sarmiento and Manchester City are believed to have reached a complete agreement when it comes to personal terms. As per El Dia, Manchester City have also managed to complete a deal with Estudiantes, the side Dario currently plays for with the two agreeing on a 12 million euro fee for the player.
The deal will see City shell out an initial payment of six million euros to Estudiantes with the remaining 50% being transferred later in the season. The deal also entitles Estudiantes to a future 20% sell-on fee with the club assuring the player hands them a profit if he’s sold at any point by City.
The 17 year old young player is said to have attracted City’s eyes after he was promoted to Estudiantes main unit in the summer of 2019. The South American has since been involved in 15 matches with the club, a period which has seen the attacker pull off the one assist.
Dario is said to become a Manchester City player upon reaching the age of 18 with the club looking to loan him out for 6 months owing to the new Brexit regulations. The player’s searing speed, guile and ability to work the flanks had seen him become the talk of the town.
Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal have all also confirmed deals prior to the onset of the January transfer window which will commence starting January 2.
