Amidst all the hullabaloo related to the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup- which revolves mostly around the teams and its players, it is perhaps the umpires who are the least talked about.
The only time the name of umpires are mentioned or heard in public discourse is when they have committed an error, big or small, thereby often finding themselves at the receiving end of the fans’ sentiments and angst.
However, we at TSR believe that the umpires are as important an entity, as the team, team management, or the players of the game. And they deserve the required recognition as the players do, since umpiring in Cricket ( or any other sport) is no mean feat, and there is a need for the umpires too, to adapt themselves accordingly, as the players do, with respect to the different formats in which the game is played.
Nevertheless, apart from the aforementioned insight on the crucial role umpires play, here is the entire list of the umpires for the mega event, which surfaces once in every four years, who will decide the fate of your favourite stars in the team.
