The 12th edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 will commence from May 30 in England. The imminent showpiece event will witness only 10 teams contesting against each other in a monumental league stage. With the tournament slated to begin in less than four weeks now, all eyes have started to move towards the World Cup now.

Among the teams which will face each other in 2019 World Cup include India, England, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, West Indies, Bangaldesh and Afghanistan.

Kennington Oval (London)

Kennington Oval in London will host seven matches in the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Hosted its first ODI in 1973, The Oval has hosted 67 ODIs till date. India vs New Zealand, England vs South Africa and India vs Australia are among the major encounters during the World Cup at this venue. It has a capacity of 23,500.

Lord’s (London)

Lord’s in London will host five matches in the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Hosted its first ODI in 1972, Lord’s has hosted 61 ODIs till date. England vs Australia, New Zealand vs Australia and the final of the tournament are among the major encounters during the World Cup at this venue.

Trent Bridge (Nottingham)

Trent Bridge in Nottingham will host five matches in the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Hosted its first ODI in 1974, Trent Bridge has hosted 44 ODIs till date. England vs Pakistan, Australia vs West Indies and India vs New Zealand are among the major encounters during the World Cup at this venue. It has a capacity of 30,000.

County Ground (Bristol)

County Ground in Bristol will host three matches in the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Hosted its first ODI in 2006, Bristol has hosted 16 ODIs till date. Afghanistan vs Australia and Pakistan vs Sri Lanka are among the major encounters during the World Cup at this venue. It has a capacity of 7,000.

The Rose Bowl (Southampton)

The Rose Bowl in Southampton will host five matches in the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Hosted its first ODI in 2003, the Rose Bowl has hosted 22 ODIs till date. South Africa vs India, England vs West Indies and India vs Afghanistan are among the major encounters during the World Cup at this venue. It has a capacity of 6,500.

The Cooper Associates County Ground (Taunton)

The Cooper Associates Country Ground in Taunton will host three matches in the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Hosted its first ODI in 1983, Taunton has hosted three ODIs till date. Australia vs Pakistan and West Indies vs Bangladesh are among the major encounters during the World Cup at this venue. It has a capacity of 6,500.

Old Trafford (Manchester)

Olf Trafford in Manchester will host six matches in the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Hosted its first ODI in 1972, the Old Trafford has hosted 46 ODIs till date. India vs Pakistan, England vs Afghanistan, West Indies vs India, Australia vs South Africa and the first semi-final are among the major encounters during the World Cup at this venue. It has a capacity of 19,000.

Edgbaston (Birmingham)

Edgbaston in Birmingham will host five matches in the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Hosted its first ODI in 1972, Edgbaston has hosted 58 ODIs till date. New Zealand vs South Africa, England vs India, Bangladesh vs India and the second semi-final are among the major encounters during the World Cup at this venue. It has a capacity of 24,803.

Headingley (Leeds)

Headingley in Leeds will host four matches in the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Hosted its first ODI in 1973, Headingley has hosted 40 ODIs till date. England vs Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka vs India are among the major encounters during the World Cup at this venue. It has a capacity of 17,000.

Riverside Ground (Chester-le-Street)

Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street will host three matches in the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Hosted its first ODI in 1999, Riverside Ground has hosted 16 ODIs till date. Sri Lanka vs South Africa and England vs New Zealand are among the major encounters during the World Cup at this venue. It has a capacity of 17,000.

Sophia Gardens (Cardiff)

Sophia Gardens in Cardiff will host three matches in the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Hosted its first ODI in 1999, Sophia Gardens has hosted 24 ODIs till date. England vs Bangladesh and South Africa vs Afghanistan are among the major encounters during the World Cup at this venue. It has a capacity of 15,000.
