WATCH: Virat Kohli gives send-off to Soumya Sarkar during Bangladesh vs India 2019 World Cup match
Virat Kohli gives send-off to Soumya Sarkar: The Indian captain was seen in an animated celebration after dismissing Sarkar.
During the 40th match of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 between Bangladesh and India at Edgbaston, India captain Virat Kohli was seen giving a send-off to Bangladesh opening batsman Soumya Sarkar.
It all happened on the first delivery of the 16th over when Sarkar hit a Hardik Pandya short delivery straight to Kohli at cover. It was Pandya’s change of pace which majorly deceived the batsman.
Kohli, who grabbed an easy catch, was seen signalling towards the batsman with a raised finger telling him that he has been clearly dismissed. Kohli’s reaction came as an aftermath of India losing a review on the back of a debatable decision against Sarkar in the 12th over.
Sarkar, who opened the batting with Tamim Iqbal (22), ended up scoring 33 (38) with the help of four fours. Having got on to a start, Bangladesh would have expected Sarkar to play a colossal role in a 315-run chase.
After India captain Virat Kohli won the toss and chose to bat, India scored 314/9 in their allotted quota of 20 overs. Looking set to cross the 350-run mark at one point in time, Indian batsmen didn’t have answers against Bangladeshi bowlers tight line and lengths in the slog overs.
Having scored his 26th ODI century, India vice-captain Rohit Sharma top-scored for India with 104 (92) with the help of seven fours and five sixes. With bowling figures of 10-1-59-5, Bangladesh fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman was the pick of their bowlers.

Shakib Al Hasan – first player to aggregate 500 runs & 10 wickets in a single World Cup.
No one else has even managed 400 runs & 10 wickets!#INDvBAN #BANvsIND #CWC19

India chipping away at the wickets. Mushfiq was a huge wicket. Pressure is shifting towards the batsmen and there could be an opportunity if the asking rate starts hovering around 8. Shakib the key.
