Federer’s former coach heaps huge praise on Nick Kyrgios
Roger Federer’s former coach Paul Annacone has recently claimed that Nick Kyrgios is the most talented player since Roger Federer had arrived on the scene. (Federer’s former coach heaps huge praise on Nick Kyrgios )
This has come in the wake of Kyrgios’s second consecutive victory over former World Number One Novak Djokovic. Paul Annacone, who has also coached Pete Sampras in the past has also said that Kyrgios may very well become one of the best very soon.
Tennis coaches all around the world have been very impressed by Kyrgios and have given him very favorable reviews after the game. New York Times writer, Christopher Clarey said, “Kyrgios has been dropping some big hints in the last six weeks that he may mature sooner rather than later.”

In response to Annacone’s statement, Clarey wrote, ”
That is quite a remark from a man not prone to hyperbole, quite a statement considering that Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic and Stan Wawrinka have all arrived on the scene in the gap between Federer and Kyrgios.
“Talent is a broad term. With a tennis match on the line, all kinds of talent matter — concentration and intelligence among them.” (Federer’s former coach heaps huge praise on Nick Kyrgios )
“But the sort of talent Annacone is referring to is the ability to hit all the shots, including a few that are not in the playbook, and the ability to create something out of nothing. (Federer’s former coach heaps huge praise on Nick Kyrgios )Although a grand canyon of achievement and commitment separate the 35-year-old Federer and the 21-year-old Kyrgios, what they share is the ability to make the difficult look sublimely easy.”
But the problem with Kyrgios is that you will never really know what you are to going to get. Let us hope that he gets his act together and fulfill the enormous potential that everyone can see.
