DLS par score for India vs New Zealand: What is the DLS par score for India in 2019 World Cup semi-final?
DLS par score for India vs New Zealand: If it rains again in Manchester, India might find themselves in a difficult situation.
During the first semi-final of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 between India and New Zealand at Old Trafford, India are in a spot of bother after losing their first four wickets cheaply.
Chasing a 240-run target, India were anticipated to seal the chase without much discomfort. However, the second innings on the second day had a completely different narrative for India as they lost vice-captain Rohit Sharma (1) and captain Virat Kohli (1) in quick succession.
A promotion in the batting order for Dinesh Karthik didn’t work well for the team management as its ploy saw the senior batsman scoring 6 (25) before getting out in the 10th over.
At the end of 20 overs, India have scored 70/4. Middle-order batsman Rishabh Pant (31) and all-rounder Hardik Pandya (22) are currently batting in the middle with veteran wicket-keeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni yet to come.
The reason why this match is being played on a second day is because of rain playing the spoilsport yesterday. If rain affects the match yet again to the extent that play gets called-off for today, we might see a final being declared via DLS Method.
DLS par score for India vs New Zealand
Having lost four wickets, the par total at this point in time is 110 for India. Had New Zealand all-rounder James Neesham not dropped Pant, India would have required 134 runs at this moment.

If India don’t lose another wicket at the end of 25 overs, they will require 118 runs to win the match. The equation will further fall in India’s favour if the match is stopped after 30 overs. India will only require 129 runs to win the match at that point.
