Man United set to break two transfer records in January
Man United set to break two transfer records in January. They will sign their top target for a record fee according to reports from European papers.
Manchester United have most of their squad arranged in the order they would like. They have bought in players they want and have shifted players they have no plans for. However, the future of first choice keeper David De Gea remains a concern.

The Spanish shot stopper is on his final year of his contract. He is yet to sign a contract renewal despite playing as the captain of the side for majority of their matches. Manchester United will attempt to renegotiate with the De Gea in the coming months. However, if they fail to convince him to put pen to papers the club will bring in another player to replace their marquee keeper.
Man United set to break two transfer records in January
If David De Gea does not pledge his future to the club by January, United will not hesitate to sell him rather than lose him for nothing next summer. AS have reported that the club are planning on bringing Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak as his replacement.
United are not undeterred by his €120m release clause and are in fact prepared to meet the huge sum. Doing so would break two transfer records. Paul Pogba is United’s most expensive purchase at €105 million. Chelsea’s Kepa holds the world record fee for a goalkeeper at €80m.
Both of these records will shatter if and when United pursue Oblak who has himself refused to commit his future to Atletico Madrid despite signing a contract extension. He had said earlier of his contract extension:
“I renewed here but a new contract does not change anything.”
