A few years ago, Javier Pastore was the next big thing in European football, as his silky style and delicate feet evoked comparisons with the great Ricardo Kaka.
After being sought midfielder for quite a few years, Pastore decided to move to PSG and take part in the ambitious Parisien project. Now, the Argentine is no longer a first choice at the club, as the arrivals of Neymar and Mbappe have seen him fall down the pecking order.

Primarily a creative midfielder, Pastore will be looking to engineer a move away from Paris in the summer, as he himself feels his time at Paris is over.
“My cycle in Paris is coming to an end, I realise,” Pastore added. “We will see for my future. I still have a year on my contract.
“I do not have clear ideas yet. I do not know how it will end. I will be focused on the end of the season, to finish this year well. You have to try to win the championship and the cups.
“Of course Spain is an option because of language and style of play.”
“I think it will be a season where there will be a lot of changes,” Pastore said. “This season, [sporting director Antero] Henrique came and he could not do what he wanted, he needed the time to know the team.

“There will be change. Many players have contracts that end, the club must start deciding what to do with these players.”
Both Barcelona and Arsenal are extremely interested in signing Pastore, as his skill and intelligence on the ball will help improve any midfield in the world.
With the likes of Iniesta, Rakitic and Gomes seemingly at the end of their time at Barcelona, the Catalans could certainly go for Pastore in the summer.
Arsenal also could buy the star player, as the likes of Wilshere, Ramsey and Cazorla may not be at the club at the start of next season.
