It has been a tremendous year for the girl from Hyderabad as her magnificent performances in the Rio Olympics 2016 propelled her to superstar status in the India.

Although she lost the final and could settle only for the silver medal, she won our hearts back home and has not looked back since.
Last week she won her maiden India Open as she avenged her Olympics loss by beating Carolina Marin in the finals held in Delhi.
Still only 21 years of age, Sindhu will be looking to reach the summit of the badminton world very soon as she will take her rich vein of form in the following tournaments.

5) Malaysian Open Title 2013 – Gold Medal

This was Sindhu’s first taste of success at the international level as she won the Malaysian Open title in 2013.
