Hardik Pandya to miss Bangladesh series in November due to back injury
Hardik Pandya to miss Bangladesh series in November after struggling with a stress fracture and has been dropped from the Test squad.
Hardik Pandya has become a crucial player in the Indian squad, especially since last two years, where he has been an influential figure as an all-rounder.
However, the Indian player is struggling with his back problem and is reportedly set to miss the Indian contingent. This comes after Japrit Bumrah was also ruled out of the squad, who was stuck with a stress fracture because of which he is not featuring in the Test series against South Africa.
Now, Pandya has joined his Mumbai Indians’ teammate in the injury list. In further reports, Pandya will fly to United Kingdom for a checkup for his injury. The doctor is reportedly same, who treated him before Asia Cup.
Moreover, the Indian cricketer has also been excluded from the Baroda team selected for Vijay Hazare trophy, which is led by his brother Krunal Pandya.

“Hardik is also set to go the United Kingdom to consult the same doctor, who had treated him during the first injury post Asia Cup. He is certainly not playing the Bangladesh series but how long he will be out is still not clear. We will know after he comes back from the United Kingdom,” a senior BCCI official said as quoted by Times of India.
It is speculated that BCCI is preferring to Pandya to United Kingdom instead of Germany and it looks like Pandya has to undergo a back surgery which can sideline him from cricket for around 5 months.
If Pandya anyhow opts for the surgery then his preparation for the T20 World Cup will be short, as it is scheduled to be held in Australia next year. which could be a big concern for BCCI ahead of the tournament.
