Rohit Sharma falls down after fan tries to touch his feet after invading into pitch
Rohit Sharma falls down after a fan tries to touch his feet after invading the pitch on the third day of the 2nd Test match in Pune.
India once again dominated South Africa on the third day of the 2nd Test match between both the sides in Pune. the Proteas went all out at 275 and are trailing by 326 runs ahead of the second innings.
Amidst the catastrophe of South Africans, the third day of the match witnessed a funny moment, when a fan tried to invade the pitch and tripped Rohit Sharma on the floor , whilst he was trying to touch his feet.
In the Indian customs, touching someone’s feet is a gesture to mark respect towards the one you idolize. Thus, it was surely a Rohit Sharma fan who wanted to grab the attention of the Indian batsman.
As soon as the fan reached near Rohit, the guards deputed on the ground were able to grab the pitch invader and dragged him away from the players. On the other side, Team India did not react much and Rohit laughed it off.
However, in the way the fan barged into Rohit, it could have potentially injured the cricketer, as he soon lost balance and did not see the fan coming onto him. Fortunately, Rohit was fine and did not receive a knock.

After this, India continued to trouble South Africa and soon made them lose wickets. The Proteas innings were finished by the Indian bowlers at ease. The last man from South Africa to fall was Kagiso Rabada in the 106th over.
Now, the match will resume tomorrow and India is expected to give a follow-on to South Africa, as Virat Kohli’s side can win the match by an inning with 326 runs’ lead still left with them.
