Sergio Ramos produces an inch perfect Panenka for Real Madrid vs Galatasaray. In doing so however, he denied Rodrygo a record hat-trick.

Real Madrid have not had the best of starts so far. However, their match against Galatasaray has been nothing less than perfect so far. The Spanish Champions were handed the perfect start by young Rodrygo who scored twice in the first 7 minutes to put the visitors on the back foot.

The 18-year old Brazilian had the chance to complete his hat-trick in just 15 minutes when Real Madrid were awarded a penalty. The spot kick came as a result of Steven N’Zonzi’s foul on Tony Kross. Many assumed that the teenager would be given the opportunity to make history. Instead however, it was Ramos who stood up to take the penalty.

Real Madrid captain, Sergio Ramos, took the responsibility of taking the penalty. Ramos did not disappoint as he dished out a picture perfect Panenka to score Real Madrid’s 3rd goal of the night with just 15 minutes on the clock.

Absolutely brilliant!

One can’t help but feel for Rodrygo though. The teenager would have registered one of the fastest hat-tricks in Champions League history. However, he can still find solace in being the youngest Brazilian to have scored a goal in Europe’s premier competition.

At the moment of writing, Real Madrid lead the match 4-0 after Benzema scored just before the half-time interval. Rodrygo still has 20 minutes to find his third. With the kind of dominance Real Madrid have exhibited, it seems that the third is but a matter of time.
