Virat Kohli dismissal vs Bangladesh: The Indian captain was undone by an exceptional fielding performance in Kolkata.

During the second day of the second Test of the ongoing Bangladesh’s tour of India at Eden Gardens, Bangladesh spinner Taijul Islam put on display a spectacular fielding effort to dismiss India captain Virat Kohli.

It all happened on the third delivery of the 81st over when Kohli’s attempt of playing a flick in the air off Bangladesh seamer Ebadot Hossain saw him walking back to the pavilion.

In a delivery which was bowled outside the leg-stump, Kohli guided it along its line. Islam, who was fielding at fine leg, ran to his right to eventually jump in the air and complete the catch midway in the air.

Kohli, who thought of the ball going for a boundary, couldn’t resist appreciating the fielder with his expression after he was dismissed. It was on the same time that Hossain ran towards the Indian skipper and celebrated in his usual manner.

Coming in to bat at No. 4 in the 13th over last night, Kohli scored his 27th Test century in another game-changing effort. Before getting out, Kohli ended up scoring 136 (194) with the help of 18 fours.

Apart from becoming the quickest to score 5,000 runs as Test captain, Kohli has also completed his 70th international century.
