IPL 2020 News: KKR and Mumbai Indians involved in Twitter banter over T20 finals in 2019
KKR and Mumbai Indians involved in Twitter banter: Knight Riders eventually acknowledged Indians’ suggestion over T20 finals in 2019.
As far as the Indian Premier League is concerned, all eyes are now on the auction which is scheduled to happen on December 19. A grand total of 973 cricketers have registered for a mere 73 available spots for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League.
Franchises can take time till December 9 (17:00 hours) before submitting their preferred list of players from as many as 713 Indian and 258 overseas cricketers. The shortlisted players will then be up for grabs during the IPL 2020 auction.

While most franchises are most likely to be shortlisting names to target during the auction, defending champions Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders were seen getting involved in a banter on social media platform Twitter.
It all started on the back of an intriguing final match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu in Surat. Talking about this match and the IPL 2019 final between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, Knight Riders asked their fans regarding the better of two matches.

While KKR’s post contained a photo of Karnataka’s team with the trophy, them using only the photo of an IPL trophy didn’t go down well with Indians who had defeated Super Kings in IPL 2019 final.
It was at this point in time that MI asked KKR to use the team’s photo with the trophy. Ending the conversation on a good note, Kolkata acknowledged MI’s suggestion.
